The Real Face of Jesus

Right now you are looking upon the face of Jesus. This image is not an artist’s rendition – it is a portrait, and is the only true image of Jesus.

There is a legend which accounts for this incredible picture. It was copied from a certain Methodius in 1086, and recounts the following story…

News of Jesus and his miraculous healings had reached Tiberius, the Emperor of Rome, who had fallen very ill. He called for Jesus hoping for a healing of his own, yet by that time Jesus had already been crucified. He then heard reports about a lady called Veronica. It was said that she kept a very special linen handkerchief which Jesus himself had impressed his face upon. Tiberius sent for Veronica, asking to see this handkerchief, and at the sight of it, was cured. Having a love of precious jewels, he then had an emerald cut from the impression on that handkerchief.

The sketch you see above, was taken from that emerald cutting. The legendary emerald really exists and has surfaced at different times throughout history, long enough for its appearance to be recorded, before disappearing again…

In 1453, in an event that changed the course of history, the city of Constantinople fell to the Turkish army (Constantinople, now known as Istanbul, is still part of Turkey to this day). With it fell the Byzantine Empire - the Roman Empire in the east, leaving The Roman Catholic Church as the last remnant of the Roman Empire, in the west. And so the precious emerald, along with the treasures of Constantinople, fell into the hands of the Ottoman Turks.

In the ensuing clashes between Muslims and Christians, the emerald then passed into the possession of the Catholic Church through the Pope at the time, as ransom for his hostage – the brother of the Turkish Sultan.

Today the Vatican claims that they no longer possess the emerald and it is thought to have been taken in 1527 when the infamous 'sacking of Rome' occurred – an eight day spree of pillaging and violence against the city.

If not for this image, there is little if any information remaining at all about what Jesus really looked like. In all of the New Testament, there is no physical description of him. Various forged letters abound describing Jesus' appearance, supposedly written by historical figures, yet they have all been exposed as hoaxes. And despite the efforts of anthropologists and computer programmers to create a likeness of Jesus based on archaeological evidence, this can only ever be at best, a scientific approximation.

It is possible however, to discover what Jesus really looks like yourself, and to verify whether this image is his real likeness. There are techniques which allow someone to have what’s called an out-of-body experience, and to meet the Master Jeshua Ben Pandira in the astral plane.

Samael Aun Weor, the founder of modern Gnosis, and Belzebuub, who currently teaches Gnosis internationally, have both been able to verify the authenticity of this image. Here is what Samael Aun Weor has written about it:

“The only true image of our Lord Jesus Christ was taken from an emerald cutting sent to be engraved on order from Tiberius, Emperor of Rome. From the Treasury of Constantinople it was given to Pope Innocence VIII by the Sultan of Turkey in ransom payment for his brother, captured by the Christians. This portrait has been taken directly from the priceless emerald belonging to the Vatican Treasury.”
