Discovery of Ancient Gospel Shatters Long-held View of Judas:

So who is the real villain?

The public release of The Gospel of Judas is creating waves across the world, making major news headlines and causing a storm of controversy. The long-held view of Judas as a villain is already crumbling away despite the Church’s embarrassed attempts to downplay the discovery, as new sayings of Jesus come to light – sayings in which Judas’ real character is revealed…

“You will become the apostle cursed by all others, Judas, you will sacrifice this body of man which clothes me.”

“You will become the 13th, and you will be cursed by the other generations – and you will come to rule over them.”

“It is possible for you to reach it, but you will grieve a great deal.”

These incredible sayings are finally revealing that Judas actually had a divine mission – he took the role of the villain, appointed to him by Jesus himself, in an epic drama that would captivate an audience of billions. Along with the other disciples, who each played their part, they enacted a magnificent teaching in living flesh – a teaching that demonstrates the real path to salvation.

Few people realise that each of the events of Jesus’ life symbolise something far deeper and more powerful than a series of physical and historical events that happened to one person. In reality, his life is a drama that each spiritually prepared person goes through within themselves, as they walk the spiritual path – the trials they are put through, the spiritual faculties they acquire, the initiations they receive, the inner death and life. Jesus therefore, showed not only his disciples what they each needed to go through in order to attain enlightenment, but all people of the world. Jesus asked people to follow him, not worship him.

However, for nearly 2,000 years the gospels have been read literally rather than as the play Jesus intended and as a consequence, Judas the actor has been confused with Judas the man. Christianity has long taught people to read the Gospels like a history book, and so the real meaning behind Jesus’ life and teachings, has been mostly unknown to people throughout the world.

But the very origin of such a gross misunderstanding goes all the way back to the time of Christ when a deep division emerged between Paul and the disciples. The disciples disagreed to such an extent with the direction Paul was taking, that when he showed up offering a large sum of money, the disciples refused it, and Paul went his separate way…

The events that would change history forever then took their course – Israel, where the disciples were based, was destroyed by the Romans after the Jewish rebellion, and in a double-twist of fate, Paul’s version of Christianity was the one later accepted by the Roman Government. This was the foot-hold from which his version of Christianity was able to launch itself into the world.

The disciples’ version of Christianity, known as Gnosticism, could then only be carried out in secrecy as the Church now in alliance with those in power, had the upper-hand and used it to wipe out any opposition. What followed for centuries to come was a horrendous bloodbath as the so-called Christians persecuted the Gnostics into oblivion. As the Gnostics were stamped out, the Church was able to tighten its grip on power and spread further and further throughout the world – as those who understood the real meaning of Jesus’ teachings were forced further and further underground…

Yet amongst all the bloodshed, the Gnostic teachings managed to survive even until this day. Secretly throughout the centuries, the understanding of the real meaning of the Gospels has been known to the Gnostics. But they did not limit themselves to external study or worship - by practicing the spiritual techniques encoded within the drama of Jesus’ life they were able to experience his teachings as a living reality and become disciples themselves, ultimately attaining divinity – as it was intended all along.

Today you can study the way to walk the real path - the one that was so dramatically portrayed by Jesus and the disciples – by learning about the hidden meaning behind the events of Jesus’ life and much more. You too can experience the teachings that Jesus and the disciples left behind as something living – as something that actually comes to life from off the pages of ancient scriptures and into your life.
